'Mog's Christmas'- short film produced by Lupus Films for Channel 4, premiering on Christmas Eve. I worked on this project for 8 months doing layouts, prop design and background painting in TV Paint, a selection of which are shown below.
Many of these shots are part of sequences that I was almost entirely responsible for painting, meaning I designed the colours and how each element looked, referencing the original book illustrations. Some backgrounds also had animated camera moves, and so had to be painted frame-by-frame. After animation and colour, shots would often come back to me to finalise. This involved artworking animated elements in the backgrounds such as windows, doors and lights, and adding shadows, footprints and snow indents to embed the characters.
